EB-4 - Certain Special Immigrants

A Fourth Preference applicant must be the beneficiary of an approved Petition for Amerasian, Widow(er), or Special Immigrant, Form I-360, except for Certain Employees or Former Employees of the U.S. Government Abroad (see number 3 below). Labor certification is not required for any of the Certain Special Immigrants subgroups.

There are many subgroups within this category:

  1. Broadcasters in the U.S. employed by the International Broadcasting Bureau of the Broadcasting Board of Governors or a grantee of such organization
  2. Certain Foreign Medical Graduates (Adjustments Only)
  3. Certain Retired International Organization Employees
  4. Certain Unmarried Sons and Daughters of International Organization Employees
  5. Certain Surviving Spouses of deceased International Organization Employees
  6. Certain Religious Workers
  7. Among others

Can Family Members also Receive Immigrant Visas?

Some EB-4 classifications allow your spouse and unmarried children under the age of 21 to be admitted to the United States.
